Kuala Lumpur - Malaka - Genting ( January 2 - January 5, 2014)

Hello, Everyone!
I'm very excited to share my journey with you. This is my little escape in Malaysia. Before that I wanna tell you that I went back to Indonesia last January and my sister gave me a free ticket to Malaysia.. So Happy!!! Thank you my sista.. That's why I can go to Malaysia :) Yey!!! (Y)
Okay, I'll tell you what I did there.. in Malaysia. This is my first trip as a backpacker as well.. hahaha.. so happy, excited, and I just waiting for my next trip..

January 2,2014.
I went to Soekarna-Hatta Airport at 3.00 a.m because my flight is on 6.00 a.m. Actually my mom accompany me to go there hehe.. She's worried about me if I go to the airport alone because my sister just can join me tomorrow it's mean I have my 2 days 1 night alone in KL.. such a perfect escape. At 5.00 a.m I arrived, ate my breakfast, and then check-in.
I arrived in KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) at 9 a.m (local time) and rush to buy a bus ticket to KL sentral. I took Aerobus ( RM 8) to KL Sentral and took monorail from KL Sentral to Raja Chulan Station because I must found my hostel first (Serenity Hostel) and my hostel in Bukit Bintang just 5 minutes walk from Raja Chulan station.

I need to wait there for almost 2 hours because actually I just can check-in after 1 p.m and I arrived there at 11 o'clock.
I love my hostel because it's near bar and cafe, bukit bintang and also alor street. If you know that Bukit Bintang is one of famous place in Kuala Lumpur and if you go to KL, you must go to Bukit Bintang, and also Alor street. I can say that Alor street is like a China Town, there's a night market there, a lot of chinese food and also street snack.

In there I met a nice japanese guy name Yu, I don't know his real name but he said just called me Yu so, I call him like that. Actually, he accompany me that day. After check in, he asked me to have lunch with him, and we go to a chinese restaurant in alor street. I got chicken with thai mango sauce and a tea and he order a noodle like Japanese noodle but I forgot what's that name. 

After finished our lunch, we go to Central Market/Pasar Seni, Petaling Street (China Town) and Sri Maha Mariamman Temple.

 After that we took GO KL Free bus and go back to our hostel. I spent the rest of that day in the hostel, chat with another backpacker there and take a rest prepare for my next trip tomorrow to Malaka to meet my sister and her friend.

January 3,2014.
I check out at 8 a.m, bought something to eat and went to KL Sentral. From there I took the monorail to Bandar Selatan Terminal and took a bus (RM10 by Metro bus) from there to Malaka Sentral. It's take 2-hour from Bandar Selatan to Malaka Sentral. I waited my sister for almost 4 hours there but I didn't meet her so, I decided to went to her hotel at PM 13, Malaka. I took a bus from Malaka Sentral to Malaka City (RM 1.50). And arrived there I must walk for about 1 hour because I have a difficulty to find the hotel where she stayed. Finally, I found it and when I knock her room, she opened the door and just angry to me, not even let me in first. She said she worried about me haha..
And at night,we went to Jonker Street, a bay near the fort and had our dinner.

January 4, 2014

We check out at 7.a.m, went to Melaka Sentral heading to KL Sentral. Arrive in KL Sentral we looking for baggage locker to put our baggage first because today we were going to Batu Caves and Genting. 

In KL Sentral Station, there are baggage locker area with various size small 5 RM, medium 10 RM / 15 RM, and large 20 RM. So, you don't need to bring all your luggage with you when you travelling around. Just put your luggage in there. We bought a ticket to Batu Caves and we just spend 2 hours to take a picture. Actually, we didn't go upstair because we must hurry to go to Genting. We back to KL Sentral and before went to Genting , we have our lunch at Medan Selera a place like food court in KL Sentral. In Medan Selera you can find a lot of food and drink start from the Malaysia traditional food, Japanese food and also Western food. 

Oh, ya, If you want to go to Genting you must buy the ticket a day before or you will not get it. Thanks God we still get the ticket and that was the last three ticket that day. And make sure that you buy a Round Trip Ticket because in Genting you will never get a return ticket from Genting to Kuala Lumpur. It is always sold out so, you must take taxi and it's quite expensive. 

We spend a half day in Genting. We rode Genting Skyway to go to Genting Shopping Mall and Casino, and also bought some souvenirs there. Just for info, the round trip ticket to Genting that we bought before have include Genting Skyway (round trip). 

After that, we go back to KL Sentral and take a monorail to our hotel at Alor Street,Bukit Bintang. After check-in hotel, we hunting food at china town just next to our hotel. We spent the rest of night in there. 

Batu Caves

January 5, 2014

This is our last day in Kuala Lumpur so, we decided to wake up earlier, had our breakfast in one of Chinese Food restaurant near our hotel. After that, we went to Butik Chocolate and Galery Chocolate at Utara Street. Actually it just cost 20 RM from Alor Street to go there but because we want to save our money, we decided to go there by walk. After buy some chocolate, we went to KLCC and KL tower just to have a picture in front of The Twin Tower. Because people said that you haven't visited Malaysia if you haven't take a picture in front of Twin Tower. hahaha.. After take some picture there (actually a lot of picture) we went to Pasar Seni and Petaling street to have our last lunch before we went to airport and had our flight back to Jakarta, Indonesia.
